Salem, IN (May 28, 2009) – The CRA Street Stocks will be back in action this Saturday night for the first of three shows this season at Anderson Speedway in Anderson, Indiana. Saturday’s show will be a 75 lap event pitting the best of the series against the top Anderson Speedway Street Stock drivers. This event will be a warm-up for the big Street Stock 300 event that was announced earlier this month for the CRA Street Stocks and Anderson Street Stocks on Saturday, June 27^th. That event will pay the winner $5000 and will have a starting field of up to 40 cars.

Saturday’s event will be the third event of the 2009 season for the CRA Street Stocks. Winston Wood claimed his first ever series victory this past Monday at Baer Field Speedway in an exciting battle with Jason Thompson. Thompson would finish in second with Joe Beaver in third, Bret Miles Jr. in fourth and Tom Little in fifth place. Josh Burton got the win in the series season opener on May 17^th at Winchester Speedway.

Thompson and 2008 series Champion Miles Jr. are currently tied for the series points lead, with Wood only three points back in third place. Brian Hopkins is in fourth only six points out of first with Josh Burton in fifth place only seven points out of first. Two time series Champion Joe Beaver is in sixth place, only nine points out of first.

Bret Miles Sr. is currently the point’s leader in the Street Stock division at Anderson Speedway. Rich Boyer is in second, Rob Allman is third, Randy Hoppes is fourth and Kyle Flynn is in fifth place. Miles Sr. got the victory in the last feature event for this division on May 16^th. Last season Beau Mitchell, Thompson and Katie Jackson all claimed victories in the three series events held at Anderson Speedway.

Pit gates will open on Saturday at 3:30pm. Practice will begin at 4:30pm with qualifications at 6pm. The race program will begin at 8pm and will include the 75 lap feature for the CRA Street Stocks.
