Salem, IN (February 26, 2009)
– Champion Racing Association Officials have announced that Crumrine
Buckle Manufacturing, a division of Crumrine Gold & Silversmiths,
will be the sponsor of a unique award for all feature winners with
the CRA Street Stocks during the 2009 season. Crumrine Buckle
Manufacturing will award each feature winner with a specially
design buckle that has a retail value of $150.
"I would like to say
that
is a great honor and privilege to represent Crumrine and participate
with Champion Racing Association," remarked Jeff Lathan representing
Crumrine Buckle Manufacturing. " We look forward to presenting
each feature winner in the CRA Street Stocks with such a unique award.
Each one will be personalized with the feature winners name, date and
track so they can proudly wear these if they choose to."
Crumrine Gold & Silversmiths is one
of the world's largest and most progressive manufacturers of belt
buckles, jewelry and accessories. Crumrine began as a small jewelry
manufacturer in Santa Ana, Ca. in 1948. In the early sixties they
began developing a specialized manufacturing process that allowed for
the production of "hand engraved" buckles and jewelry in large
quantities. This process was the first of its kind in the world.
Continued refinement in this process has allowed Crumrine to offer a
product line that is recognized as the market leader in both value for
the dollar and consistency in quality.
In 2008 M&F Western Products, based
out of Sulphur Springs, Texas purchased Crumrine. Each buckle still
receives the same hand craftsmanship, hand finishing and inspection
that went into the company's earliest products. By using the latest
tooling and manufacturing techniques, Crumrine maintains its
long-standing edge in the categories of engraving depth, detail,
luster of finish and overall merchandise selection.
Throughout its 50+-year history, the
company has successfully maintained several important operating
philosophies. The most notable of these is the company's continued use
of the finest quality manufacturing materials available-without
compromise. Last but not least is Crumrine's commitment to the
lifestyles it serves. More information on Crumrine is available on
their web site at
www.crumrineonline.com.
Jeff Lathan is the owner of the #58
CRA Street Stock driven last season by Larry Lathan and Rick Erwin in
selected series events. Erwin had one of the best series runs of all
time in last season’s series event at O’Reilly Raceway Park in that
car. After problems in qualifying, Erwin came from his 27th
provisional starting position to win the 50 lap event that started 32
cars. The team plans to compete with the CRA Street Stocks again in
2009.
The 2009 CRA Street Stock season is
set to begin on April 19th at Winchester Speedway with a 40
lap feature event and heat races. There will be an open practice on
Saturday, April 18th at Winchester. More information on the
