CRA Street Stocks and FWD Compacts Garner Invitations

Practice Results from March 2008

Salem, IN (April 24, 2009) – As the CRA Street Stocks and the Vore’s Welding and Steel CRA FWD Compacts Series continue to grow in popularity they continue to gain invitations for special races. The Nashville Fairgrounds Speedway has invited the CRA Street Stocks to race with their street stock/sportsman division on May 2-3 and Mt. Lawn has recently released more information about the CRA Street Stock event on June 13. The announcement included exciting news for the Vore’s Welding and Steel CRA FWD Compacts as well.

In Nashville, the new promoter has reviewed the CRA Street Stock rules and has invited the CRA Street Stocks to race in their Street Stock/Sportsman event on May 2-3. The CRA Super Series stars with Kyle Busch will be racing in Nashville that weekend. CRA Street Stocks will run CRA rules for this event! CRA attempted to do this last year, but the event was rained out in April of 2008. During the practice sessions that were held last year, the CRA Street Stock appeared to be the strongest cars on the track. This event pays $1000 to win with NO ENTRY FEE for the CRA cars!

For the Mt. Lawn event, officials announced that the top 4 qualifiers for the June 13th CRA Street Stock will race for $100 cash from Razzle’s and a trophy in a traditional Mt. Lawn Trophy Dash, in addition to the standard CRA purse. Officials are hoping that this event leads to even more opportunities in the future and are asking racers and fans alike to rally around the only CRA visit to Mt. Lawn this year This unique racetrack has the appeal of being one of a few tracks where horsepower is NOT an issue. Additionally, racers and fans alike will get to see one of the most beautiful settings for a racetrack anywhere in the country.

In addition to the CRA Street Stocks on that day, Mt. Lawn officials have also invited the CRA Compacts to be part of the event as well. The Vore’s Welding and Steel CRA FWD Compacts have been invited to race with the Mt. Lawn Hornets (compact car) division on Saturday June 13. Vore’s Welding and Steel CRA FWD Compacts may run CRA rules that night. The track has a $25 to win trophy dash, $40 to win heat races and a $125 to win feature. CRA officials are currently looking for a sponsor to pay the top 3 CRA cars a bonus of $100, $60, $40 on top of the regular Mt. Lawn purse.
