High Performance to Sponsor at the Track Web Updates from
Angola on Saturday
Salem, IN (July 3,
2009) – Champion Racing Association officials have announced that
 Shively
High Performance will be the sponsor of the At The Track Web Updates
for this Saturday’s July 4th EMF Corp125 at Angola Motor
Speedway. The CRA Super Series has been a part of that big Holiday
racing event at Angola Motor Speedway for several seasons.
Saturday’s event will be the 14th series event at Angola
Motor Speedway were Angola native and three time series Champion
Scott Hantz has the most victories with four.

Hines Wins Rich Vogler

Neal and Charles get CRA
Victories
Winchester, IN (July 3, 2009) – In
front of a great crowd, New Castle, Indiana native Tracy Hines came away
with a victory in the Rich Vogler Classic for the USAC Nation Sprint Cars
on the famous High Banks of Winchester Speedway Thursday night. The
Thursday Night Thunder Show kicked off the Holiday weekend with a great
race that ad the fans on there feet!
"It’s really great to win this event
at this great track," remarked Hines. "Rich was one of my hero’s growing
up, he was a great racer and a great set up guy who really new how to get
around these tracks. Cole drove me clean and I was able to use the high
side and get around him."

Bill Charles Holds on to Win
Troy Frazier started in the front and took the lead for the first 9 laps
of the
Vore's Welding and Steel 20, Bill Charles started
ninth and worked up his way up to take
 the
lead on the 10th lap. Brian Redmond restarted third after a caution
on the 15th lap, moved to second in the first turn, but could not get past
Charles. He moved up on the inside for the last couple of laps, but
never could take the lead giving Charles the win.
"It is always great to win. I have to thank my sponsors Main Auto
Parts, Select Signs, and Brock Air Products, they allow me to come out and
race." Charles said. "This group of guys is so competitive, we
have some great racers, and great races and thanks to the fans that come
out to watch."

Scott Neal Win Feature
Scott Neal led every lap, but could not get away from Chad
 Poorman
and finished just ahead of him to win the Street Stock Feature at
Winchester Speedway.
"Every time you race at Winchester you are racing the track. I have
seen people have trouble here all my themselves, and I have done it due to
mechanical problems myself." Neal commented. "I wish there
were more cars here, but it was fun, and I just could not get away from
the 777 car, he was right there the whole race."

Scott Neal Fastest CRA Street Stock
Scott Neal was the fastest in each practice and qualifying for the MAX 15
at Winchester Speedway. Five street stocks were at the speedway for
practice, but one was lost due to a spin and accident during practice and
one suffered mechanical failure leaving only three to take a qualifying
time.

the CRA Super Series event scheduled for Saturday, July 18th
at Baer Field Speedway has been rescheduled for Saturday, September
19th.

Series to Celebrate July 4th at Angola Motor Speedway
Salem, IN (July 1,
2009) – The CRA Super Series will keep up what has
become an annual tradition of racing at Angola Motor Speedway on
July 4th this Saturday in the EMF Corp 125. The CRA Super
Series has been a part of that big Holiday racing event at Angola
Motor Speedway for several seasons. This weekend will be the biggest
weekend of racing this year at the beautiful 3/8-mile facility owned
by Angola businessman Dick Poe. Fellow local businessman Craig
Everage has leased the facility to promote races for the 2009
season, running a schedule of special events called the Wide Open

Joe Beaver set fast time for the Anderson 300 with a time of
13.932 seconds, Scott Neal was second at 13.976, Bret Miles, Jr.

Dominates for Win
Salem, IN (June 27, 2009) - With the temperature
holding steady
 at
hot all evening John VanDoorn held his cool, made restarts look easy
and ran off to his second CRA Super Series victory of the year in the
Touchstone Energy Hoosier Hills 100 at Salem Speedway. Rick
Turner took the early lead from the outside of the first row on the
original start, but a massive crash behind him involving several of
the favorites including fast qualifier Chuck Barnes, Jr. caused a
complete restart with six cars unable to come back out. Turner
took off again, and led the first 18 laps with VanDoorn following hot
on his tail from his second row starting position. After second
fast qualifier VanDoorn slipped under a very loose Turner on the
backstretch he never looked back. Scott Hantz, who came to Salem tied
with VanDoorn for the series points lead, finished second, Aaron
Pierce was third, Jason Shively fourth and JR Roahrig fifth.
"It was a good car, we learned a lot from Winchester,
and applied what
we learned here, tweaked things a little to make it great." VanDoorn
stated. "My crew worked really hard today in this heat and never
complained. They are the best. My spotter kept me up to date, so I
could save my tires, and it all came together."

Barnes Set Fast Time in Qualifying
Proving
the practice sessions were no fluke, Chuck Barnes, Jr. set fast time
in qualifying with a lap of 16.653 seconds, Johnny VanDoorn was second
at 16.716 seconds, Boris Jurkovic third, Rick Turner fourth and Scott
Hantz fifth. Jeff Lane did not qualify due to a fuel pump issue,
but is scheduled to start the feature, while Kenny Tweedy will not due
to an engine issue that has ended his day.

Rick Turner is second at 17.228, Aaron Pierce third, Scott Hantz
fourth and Johnny VanDoorn fifth.

Salem, IN (June 25,
2009) – Champion Racing Association officials have
 announced
that EMF Corp will be the sponsor of the At The Track Web Updates
for this Saturday’s Touchtone Energy Hoosier Hills 100 at Salem
Speedway. The famous High Banked track is in its 63rd
year of racing. A total of 21 CRA Super Series events have been
contested at Salem since Kenny Tweedy won a 100-lap race there in
May of 1997, the second event in the series inaugural season.

2009) – The CRA Street Stocks will head to Anderson Speedway
for the $5000 to win
 Street
Stock 300 this Saturday, the biggest event of the season for the
series. The event will be sanctioned by Champion Racing
Association with the CRA Street Stocks rules and will be a special
point’s event for the Anderson Speedway Street Stocks and a
regular points event for CRA Street Stocks, but the event is open
to any Street Stock competitor who wants to come race at the
"World’s Fastest High-Banked Quarter Mile Oval".
